Quality Management System - Hygiene Policy

We recognise that we will only achieve this status by the provision of a quality management system and effective training and development of our entire staff. Accordingly, the issue of Management Leadership, Food Safety and the maintenance of the Working Environment together with Staff Training are essential to our operation and the following arrangements apply:

• An Excellent Choice Catering operates a comprehensive HACCP programme and the Head Chef maintains records per function, which are filed in head office.
  
  
• An Excellent Choice Catering operates a Purchasing Procedure, which has as its objective the purchase of safe, sound and wholesome food.
  
  
• Our staff are required to attend Food Safety Training Induction Skills Level 1 - Stage 1 and records and exam results are maintained in the Quality Management System and available for inspection.
  
  
• Our staff are required to attend the company's Induction Training Programme where reference is made to hygiene, standards, training and personal hygiene. All attendees are required to sign off the induction training record which is maintained in the Quality Management System.
  
  
• To ensure that Plant and Equipment are fit for purpose, the company maintains a Planned Maintenance Programme covering all plant and equipment and these records are maintained by the Stores Manager.
  
  
• An Excellent Choice Catering operates a Safety Management System (Safety Statement) as required by statutory law.
